“A lot of the unicorn companies today grew based on innovation and growth. They didn’t really address profitability, and investors today are concentrating on profitability, not just growth and innovation.”

“The Chinese companies have a lot of choices [of markets] today. I still believe the U.S. is the gold standard because it offers benefits the other markets don’t offer. U.S. markets to Chinese companies offer very, very deep, diversified sources of capital, and that is critical for them.”

“One of the things that I preach to public companies is that if you want to be successful at the end of the day you better own 80% of your investors’ trust and confidence. If you can’t do that you’re at risk.”
