About Chris
Chris Zhao is a Partner in MarcumAsia’s Assurance Services practice with over ten years of professional experience.
He has worked with several listed companies in the United States, China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Efficient auditing and attestation services are essential for companies to complete overseas financings quickly. Mr. Zhao also audited services for Indonesia’s first direct listing on the New York Stock Exchange. He is experienced with the many unique conditions and restrictions involved in auditing companies from Southeast Asia.
Mr. Zhao has extensive experience in constructing anti-fraud and internal control frameworks. Mr. Zhao offers expertise in compliance requirements of the US Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) Section 404 and information technology (IT) auditing requirements. In addition, Mr. Zhao has outstanding ability in Sino-U.S. cultural coordination and cross-border communication and collaboration.
His industry experience spans hospitality, wealth management, retail, blockchain, education, advertising, oil and gas, and financial leasing.
Mr. Zhao graduated from the University of Toronto, Canada, and served as a teaching assistant during his studies.
